The 19th Annual Haunted Train Ride and Ghoul Bus, co sponsored by Norfolk Community League (NCL) and Norfolk Lions, will take place Saturday, October 19th from 5pm until 8:30pm at Holmes Fields on Myrtle Street in Norfolk. New this year – Online Only Ticket Sales! Tickets will only be sold online at https://www.norfolkmalions.org/haunted-train-ride over a 2 day period. Tuesday September 17 will be for Norfolk residents only. Wednesday September 18 will be open to the public. Sales will start at 5pm each night. Tickets are $9 each and limited to 10 tickets per family. Each ticket entitles the bearer to one train ride and one walk through the Ghoul Bus. Tickets are non-refundable and non-replaceable. We have worked tirelessly to investigate options for ticketing for this event. We are up against a number of constraints including continuing to keep this an affordable family event, safety concerns for our riders and haunters, and capacity and operation of the antique trains as well as the imposition on the very generous Holmes family. We’d love to be able to allow everyone that wants to ride the train that opportunity but the reality is that it is not feasible. The new ticketing platform was created to allow for the fair opportunity for all interested to purchase the limited number of tickets. We hope you understand that we will most likely sell out and that not everyone will be able to obtain a ticket. Community groups interested in participating in the event are welcome. Teen volunteers are also welcome and participation can usually be used to fulfill community service hours. Contact:hauntedtrainride@gmail.com with any questions. *Organizers will try to keep the event running during inclement weather, but it is not possible to coordinate the numerous volunteers and donations necessary for a rain date. Tickets are a donation and non-refundable.
