Protecting your private information is our priority. This Statement of Privacy applies to the Norfolk Lions Club and governs data collection and usage. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to Norfolk Lions Club, hereinafter referred to as “Lions”, includes norfolkmalions.org, Lions International, all Lions Charities, Subsidiaries, and Foundations. The Lions website is a non-profit charitable organization website. By using the Lions website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Normal website usage
In general, you can browse the Lions site without revealing any personal information about yourself. The only information Lions collects is standard web usage records, Internet service provider, operating system, browser type, pages visited, downloads, website referrers, date visited. This information helps the Lions measure website activity, improve our website and better serve our visitors.

 

Collection of your Personal Information

The Lions recognize the importance of protecting the private information of our website visitors, donors and other members of the Lions organization. Visitor, donor and Lion contact information is only collected to facilitate communications when such data is voluntarily shared. This information is to be used solely to further our mission. Visitors, donors or Lions may opt out of any of our direct marketing activities at any time. We may use service providers, such as website traffic consultants, to carry out certain activities on our behalf. Personal information is also collected for Lions to conduct its necessary operational activities including:

  • Donation amount(s) and other contributions

  • Donor cultivation including compilation of donor profiles and trends

  • Program monitoring and evaluation

  • Furtherance of public relations activities and cooperative alliances

  • Other purposes as approved by the Lions Board of Directors

 

If you purchase Lions products and services, we collect billing and credit card information.

This information is used to complete the purchase transaction.

 

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through Lions public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others.

 

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us.
