Many months of hard work, eye-opening learning, cherished new relationships and the broader support of our fellow Lions, friends, neighbors, public safety, community organizations, state representatives, sponsors and a huge cross section of our surrounding communities culminated in a fun and moving night for everyone in attendance. It was truly amazing and inspiring to see so many who have turned their heartbreak and tragedy into giving hope and healing to so many in need. We are in awe of your strength!
A very special thank you to so many who shared their stories with us on this journey. Sadly, there are too many to name but please know that you have touched so many hearts and by sharing your story, you are giving hope to those that are struggling with this tragic epidemic.
It is our hope that the benefit not only raised much needed funds to help support these incredible front-line organizations, but more importantly raised awareness of this crisis, helped to erase the stigma associated with substance abuse disorder and to let those who are suffering know that you are not alone. We are all your friends and there is hope. We will 'Rise Up!'
